Whether you’re new to the game or seasoned, you’ve heard the word ‘burnout.’ And if you haven’t experienced it, are currently experiencing it, or just getting over it – we’re gonna prevent that from happening in the future by making sure your whys, personality, and life match with your business.
As we move through time, we discover new things about ourselves and grow out of other things.
Maybe what you once thought you love doing is now the bane of your existence. Maybe you left your 9-5 because you wanted to try it out on your own and you’re starting to realize you dislike it just as much from home as you did from the office. Whatever it may be, it comes down to one simple truth: if there are things you don’t like about your life, change them. If you’re feeling burnt out, change that.
You’re uniquely responsible for your life and you were not put on this earth to just go through the motions. Even if you’re experiencing burnout, you still have to make a decision to either let it hold you back or fuel you to push forward. And should you decide to move forward (just like I knew you would), you need to have a game plan. You need to get crystal clear on what you’re going to do and what your goals are.
Jack Canfield’s book The Success Principles recommends using the 30-30-30 rule: Write down a list of 30 things you want to do, 30 things you want to have, and 30 things you want be before you die. Doing this will take the pressure off of focusing on only one area of your life and cause you to think about how all of the things can come into fruition together. Once you know how to make that happen, you can start developing your goals in a SMART way and achieve everything you ever imagined.
Those wants were put in your head for a reason – because you are more than capable of achieving them. Now go crush it!
