No matter how well you plan or implement, sometimes things aren’t going to work out as you expected. You’re going to make mistakes, and maybe things will happen around you that will prevent your perfectly laid out plans from coming to fruition – but that’s ok. As long as you’re in a place where you take these ‘failures’ as lessons and motivation to step forward, everything will work itself out. You got this!
Feel The Feels
No feeling is ‘wrong’ and no one has the right to dictate how you should feel about anything – but understand that you’re in control of your feelings. Not the other way around. Your thoughts control your feelings, so if you change the way you think then you can change the way you feel.
Be Kind to Yourself
Being nice and being kind are two different things. When you’re kind, you’re mindful of how you affect yourself and others with your actions and thoughts. Kinder people = happier people less at risk for burnout.
Accept Your Mistakes
If mistakes are made, it’s important that you take accountability for what you contributed to, and accept what was out of your hands. Don’t beat yourself up if you missed a deadline because you were sick, but definitely plan to do better if you missed it because you were up late binging Netflix and putting away a bottle of wine. THAT you can control.
Learn from it & Move Foreward
When you do end up making a mistake or something fails, you have to make a choice to learn from it. Ask yourself what you can do better next time and push forward. Use your experiences to plan better and set even bigger goals because your experiences make you even more fierce.
I know how sucky it can feel to not have things go your way – but as long as you learn and plan better for next time, everything will turn out for the better. Think of failure as a necessary part of growth and become friends with it. You got this!!
