Want to set goals and actually achieve them?
Make sure they’re SMART:
Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely.
If a goal is all of these things, it’ll be reasonable and possible to attain – but if you’re just creating goals with zero direction, the chances are you won’t attain them.
Don’t fall for the ‘go big or go home’ mentality and set yourself up to fail. Dream big, but smart.
Let’s say you want to land 2 more clients in your business. When you first decide that, it might feel like that goal is impossible, but that’s not true. You just need to step back and attack this goal from a new angle. Reset your goal to include a specific $$ target, in a realistic amount of time and lay out the steps you need to take to get there. You might need to network, build out your pricing structure & create a follow-up or onboarding schedule to get ready to take them on.
BUT if your goal is to wake up a millionaire tomorrow with no business plan, action steps, or idea of how that would even be possible, you’re probably going to feel pretty disappointed when you open your eyes the next morning.
It’s important to differentiate dreams from reality so you can get to work on creating that for yourself. The truth is, things don’t happen because you will them to – you need to do the work girl!
When you’re in the goal-setting process, make sure that your goals are reasonable and achievable so you can set yourself up for success.

Maybe you don’t have the necessary business tools or systems right now, so you need to take a step back to figure out what you need. Maybe you don’t have the skillset to support your goals, so you need to get to work acquiring it. Whatever the reason is that you can’t reasonably reach that goal yet, take a step back and set smaller goals that’ll get you to your overall goal.
Write down all of those milestones that have to be reached for that goal to happen. Are you actually able to do those things? Do you need to reprioritize some other things in your life? If you can’t see a way to reach the goal realistically and reasonably to meet your personal timeline and life, no matter how much you step back, you’ll still need to adjust your goal.
Stop burning yourself out trying to make something happen and wasting your time because you’ve been fed lies about what should be doing and where you should be. Set SMART, clear, step-by-step goals and make it happen.
Your legacy depends on it.
